NaNoWriMo Winners Certificate

So yes, I “won”! However, I am not done with the novel. πŸ˜€ I am about… half way, maybe? I know the purpose is to write a novel in 50K words but I sorta got carried away. πŸ˜› I mean, I wanted a good smut novel so I have no idea if this is too long or what? I guess I shall find out when I edit and try to sell it. πŸ˜‰

Anyhoo, here are my NaNo stats for my novel, “Enslaved”:Β http://nanowrimo.org/participants/clairebfield/novels/enslaved-646278/stats

I am keeping that title I think, it has grown on me.

All in all I have loved this challenge and I think I have rediscovered the novelist in me, which is a huuuuge plus. It’s time to write no matter if I get published, that is no longer my goal (though Enslaved is the one I am gonna try and sell, just because I am curious!). The joy of writing in this manner has been rekindled and I forgot how much I missed writing chapters and being in complete control of everything. Yes, I shall edit and listen to proof readers and whatnot, but the process is my own and I have so little I am in control of, this is kinda like a new lease of life!

So thank you NaNo! After years of skepticism I finally found a use for it for me, and not because others thoughts I should do it. I am stubborn like that. I have to do things for me and to find my own motivation and drive. Β Next year I plan on finishing the novel in December, so roll on 2015!!!
