Do I? Really? I love Sex and the City, yes, but I don’t read smut novels – I write them. I am approaching middle age but I am not a virgin and still write for the fun of it, not for my “sexual experiences”. Is there something wrong with just having a bit of fun with sex?
I have asked myself this question a lot in the last couple of years, especially since finishing University. It has only been through reading the blogs of my favourite authors and my friends that I think I have begun to understand what it is I can get out of blogging. It does not have to be entirely egotistical (though this particular blog will be more personal because that is its function) and neither does it have to be abstract. Quite frankly a blog can be whatever you want it to be!
Since twitter is microblogging and tumblr is… well full of gifs and silly pictures I make, I figured this blog could be a little more structured, more like articles in fact.
Never have I been particularly good in keeping up with this type of thing, but a lot has changed in my life since last I tried so perhaps this time it will be different? I certainly need somewhere to write something without necessarily getting a reply. So, I blog to extract my thoughts and sometimes express my feelings, though I will try not to whine and blog about a variety of things – no promises though! This is more a hope I have of myself because I think I have more to offer my blog than post after post of moaning. Life is brighter than that and honestly, I do not want to complain about things I simply cannot change.
So here I go, wish me luck, and if not luck then let the silence fall.
